What is an ATS score?

An ATS score estimates how well your resume can be read and matched by an Applicant Tracking System. This tool scores your resume out of 100 based on contact details, standard sections, skills, quantified achievements, formatting, length, and — when provided — keyword match to a job description.

Does my resume get uploaded to a server?

Which file formats are supported?

You can upload text-based PDF or DOCX resumes up to 5 MB. Scanned or image-only PDFs cannot be read because they contain no extractable text.

Does the checker use AI?

No. The score is fully rule-based and deterministic, so the same resume always gets the same score and the reasoning behind every issue is transparent.

How is the job description match calculated?

When you paste a job description, the tool extracts the most important keywords and phrases, removes common filler words, and checks which of them appear in your resume to produce a keyword-coverage percentage plus a list of matched and missing terms.
