What format is the JSON output?
An array of objects, one per CSV row, with each object's keys taken from the header row — the standard, most broadly useful shape for CSV data.
Are numbers and booleans converted, or kept as text?
Every value stays a string, matching what's actually in the CSV. CSV has no native types, so guessing that "01234" is a number (and dropping the leading zero) would silently corrupt data — this tool won't guess for you.
How are duplicate column names handled?
The last column with a given name wins for that key, since a JSON object can't have two properties with the same key — rename duplicate columns beforehand if you need every value preserved.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Conversion happens entirely in your browser.
